Challenge
Sugar Ray is a local R&B artist, he provided me with a photo of a woman that he wanted me to use for the cover art of his song "No Strings Attached" and told me I had total creative freedom.
Solution
The song has a summertime vibe so I wanted the visual to be vibrant and fun. Since the model has blond braids and is wearing a Chargers jacket I focused on a color palette that included complimentary colors. I wanted to create a scene around the model to make it look like she's out in nature enjoying a beautiful sunny day. I am inspired by a designer named Madgiel Lopez so I used his style by cutting out the model tank top as a play on the song title "No Strings Attached"
